After 12 years as an engineer and expert in risk management for large-scale projects, I followed my passion for music and have spent the last five years as a DJ. Now, I’m launching Meant to Beats DJ School here in Houston.
I created Meant to Beats DJ classes when I noticed parents were reaching out concerned about confidence/anxiety in their teens and realized how much DJ could help them. I serve parents that are looking to support their teenagers (12-17) with a safe, controlled environment to grow their confidence, explore creativity, and build community. DJing boosted my confidence in ways no other formal education did (i.e. engineering), and I have noticed the impact it had with my first cohort of students.
These lessons aren't just about music.
